The African American Writers and Artist, Inc., San Diego is a
non-profit organization committed to serving the youth of our
community and encouraging the development of their creative talents.
AAWA also actively promotes the creative works and culture of all
individuals. AAWA is a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary
organization. The commitment of AAWA is to contribute to the goals of
the City Arts Plan, established through the San Diego Commission Arts
& Culture, targeting the arts and culture for tourists, the overall
community and beyond, as well as its membership .
